Derrick and I have been friends for over 15 years.  If you know us, then you know our story.  

But to humor you guys, I guess I'll give a brief synopsis.  We met at work, and after life happened on both of our ends, we decided to date.  

In September of 2018, Derrick asked me to be his girlfriend.  After making him wait for about 3 months and bombarding him with questions, I finally said yes.  

Our past few years have been full of traveling, eating out, engaging in fun activities with friends and family, spending tons of time together, getting to know each other, loving each other through thick and thin, supporting each other, and did I say traveling?!

On Thanksgiving in 2021, Derrick proposed to me in our hotel room at Sugarland Town Center.  I literally took a selfie of us and turned around and there he was with the ring.  There was just one problem; he was standing up!  Lol!!  He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!!  So here we are.  

We would love to share this moment with all of our family and friends, but unfortunatey, the wedding is only open to our two witnesses. Derrick and I chose to have a private ceremony.  A few of our close friends will join us on the island, and engage in a vacation of their own.  Thank you for understanding.
